Björk has accepted the position of lead vocalist for legendary Led Zeppelin, but it was evident that their world tour was in turmoil after original singer Robert Plant decided to concentrate on live work with Allison Krauss. They have been looking for new singer to tour and record with as reported in the media.

Björk has though put forward her wish that they only cover with her songs from album I and IV, among them pure classics like:

“Good Times Bad Times”, “You Shook Me”, “Dazed and Confused”, “Your Time Is Gonna Come”, “Black Mountain Side”, “Communication Breakdown”, “I Can’t Quit You Baby”, “Black Dog” , “Rock and Roll”, “The Battle of Evermore” and “Stairway to Heaven”.

The tour kicks off in June after Björk has fulfilled her other engagements. For further details of the tour and tickets are here.

How Can Justin Timberlake Still Objectify Black Women And Get Away With It?

Someone please explain why Justin Timberlake continually gets a pass to fetishize and exploit the image of Black women. Right now. Because after watching him aggressively pulling on a chain wrapped around Ciara’s neck only to later use her bending body as a leaning post in her new video for “Love Sex Magic,” it’s getting ludicrously difficult to understand.

It been years since “Nipplegate” after which he distanced himself from Janet Jackson, cowardly allowing her to endure the overly harsh criticism alone. The outcry against his actions from those of us in the indignant minority was quickly overshadowed by an increase in album sales, multiple music awards and an increase in his Pop stardom miming Black music and culture. Instead of subjecting his next project with trepidation–let alone dismissal–nearly every “urban” club, radio station and music channel on the planet had the masses bumping to a song with a hook that’s about shackles, whipping and slavery.

From behind a wry smile and with his hair faded he actually tarnished a reigning, Black Pop star’s image arguably beyond repair by exposing her breast on national television and then built his street cred further by bringing sexy back, Middle Passage style. He’s transitioned from the post-racialist’s pop culture dream of somewhat harmlessly lusting after beautiful Black love interest in the video for “Like I Love You” into something more sinister. He uses the scapegoat of S&M edginess in which he is the aggressor, the dominant force, to subordinate his object of desire when she is Black.

He distanced himself from those undertones in using shackles (why not a different two syllable kinky word like handcuffs, Justin? Or latex, like the piece you tore off of Miss Jackson?) and whipping in the song by making himself the slave, and in the video by making lusty faces with a White woman. But all of the soft edginess and ambgious sexism and racism has become the central M.O. for him in the video for “Love Sex Magic.”

It’s not even his song but in the video he’s in the opening scene, pulling on a chained Ciara. Whenever the two are interacting she is doing all kinds of sexy acrobatics for him–crawling over him, stick out her ass for him to lean on, bumping him with her breasts–but he can barely be bothered to look her in the face half of the time…and he’s on screen a lot. She looks desparate, and he looks like a pimp. As the video progresses and their roles become more evident it gets more disgusting.

Yes, Ciara is grown and autonomous. So is Janet. But that just makes his ability to exploit their collaborations to the point that they are subjegated to his dominance, wittingly or not, more protestable. Additionally, it seems that at this point active defense, tacit approval, or even celebration of this behavior/persona is beyond ignorant and only subjegates women further. The “that’s capitalism” and “it’s just entertainment!” defenses also fall short because both are integral aspects of our shared culture and have impact beyond the superficialities of the music industry hustle and streaming videos online. Dig deeper than that.

So the question stands: Why does he still get a pass?

ShoWest: Harry Potter Trailer Shows New Plot Twists

Though none of the cast or crew for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince could be on hand to introduce the trailer, given that they’re all in London filming the next one, the new footage in the trailer was spectacle enough. The movie seems to be diverging from the book a whole lot, plot-wise. We already knew that there was an added scene featuring an attack on the Weasley’s home, the Burrow, but the new trailer showed us the first footage. It looks like there are some kind of fireballs(Old), or fiery versions of Dementors flying through the house– it doesn’t really resemble any kind of attack we’ve heard of before in the books. It’s also totally unclear at what point in the movie this will happen. Usually the winter break scenes feature snow on the ground, but this one appears to be taking place during summer or fall.

Speaking of Dementors, we saw more of them wreaking havoc on the real world, and even a shot of Dumbledore standing on a tube platform. Foreshadowing of his encounter with Harry near the end of Deathly Hallows? Or an indication that the book will focus on the real-world impact of the wizarding war? I think we already knew there’d be more than just that interaction between the MInister of Magic and the Prime Minister, but now it looks like we’ll be in for some honest-to-God action scenes on the streets of London.

Dumbledore also has a line of dialogue that definitely isn’t part of the book– "Voldemort has chosen Draco Malfoy for a mission." Remember that in the book, Harry spends the whole time convinced Draco is up to something, while everyone else thinks Harry is just blaming Malfoy again for something he’s not doing. But if Dumbledore says straight-out that Malfoy is working for Voldemort this time, that could change a lot of the direction of the story. In the book we don’t know for sure that Malfoy is working for Voldemort until he shows up on top of the castle to kill Dumbledore. The mvoie seems to be focusing a lot more on Malfoy, based on shots of him in the trailer, so it might get a lot more interesting to watch him, knowing he’s the bad guy.

And finally, the new trailer had a lot of glimpses of stuff we already knew form the books, but looks amazing onscreen anyway– the Inferi crawling out of the lake to attack Harry (they look a lot like Gollum), Harry shouting "Fight back you coward!" at Snape as he runs away from the castle, and little things, like Katie getting attacked by the cursed necklace or Malfoy’s magical wardrobe that allows the Death Eaters to enter the castle at the end of the story. It all looks pretty excellent, as has everything for the movie that we’ve seen thus far.

Alan Horn asked at the beginning of the presentation if we’d all forgiven him yet for delaying this movie’s release from last fall to this summer. The answer is no, probably, and new footage like this doesn’t make the wait any easier. But at least we know we’ve got something to look forward to.

Hannah Montana: The Movie director Peter Chelsom has compared Miley Cyrus to screen legend Judy Garland - insisting he was “blown away” the first time he saw the teen superstar. The filmmaker is at the helm of Cyrus’ first movie gig in the role of phenomenally popular kids’ show heroine Hannah Montana. And Chelsom admits he saw the 16-year-old’s potential long before they worked together - recalling an appearance on Oprah Winfrey’s talk show which left him speechless. He tells E! Online, “I was blown away. I just thought, you know there is no way this girl shouldn’t be ranked with Shirley Temple or Judy Garland. “I couldn’t believe it. It was like watching an evening with Barbra Streisand.”

And the filmmaker is adamant that Cyrus deserves to have her talent recognized - because she has reached such a high standard at such a young age. He adds, “She was 15 for the whole making of the movie… was Barbra doing that at 15? I don’t think so.”

Hannah Montana: The Movie hits theaters in the U.S. in April.

Next to Beyonce and Solange Knowles, Victoria Beckham and the Cruz sisters, Penelope and Monica, Jennifer Lopez is also a celebrity endorser of the Samantha Thavasa line, the bag collection for more clarity. Over the weekend, the singer flew to Japan for a special appearance at the Thavasa shop in Marui City in Shibuya, Tokyo, unveiling a more urban chic and youthful look on the same occasion.

Although, back in the early 2000s, when Lopez was still trying to find the onstage persona that would best suit her music, she made a name for herself with her “Jenny from the block” urban style, in recent years, she’s been all about the glamour.

Amazing gowns and stylish jewelry pieces, and a certain obvious sense of fabulosity have become a trademark for the singer, especially in recent months, pre and post her giving birth to twins, it has been said.

Dressed in a simple black-and-white top with black leggings, but wearing a pair of killer, yet totally gorgeous heels, it would have taken a shot in the dark to guess that Jennifer Lopez was actually 39 and a mother of two children, several US media outlets are pointing out. The new hairdo, in a much lighter brown color and a newly added fringe, only contributed more to the impression of chic youthfulness and exquisite urban style

Heidi Montag debuted her newest single, “Look How I’m Doin,” on Ryan Seacrest’s KIIS-FM radio show this morning. Listen here.

The catchy pop song was written by Cathy Dennis, who also penned Katy Perry’s “I Kissed a Girl” and Britney Spears’ “Toxic.”

Could the lyrics — ” Your excuses get better/you couldn’t give me time” — be about beau Spencer Pratt?
