Word is that the Oscar nominated but never winning, Anne Hathaway is in talks to play the glorious explosion of a person that Judy Garland was in the new book to film, Get Happy: The Life of Judy Garland.

By glorious explosion of course I mean her pill popping, drunken train wreck to hell days that celebrities over the age of 30 barely give us in these times. Judy got Anna Nicole bad, and I’m sure Anne’s dying to prove what we already know…she deserves that damn Oscar. ‘Anne dearly wants to do a musical and this could be her chance. The big attraction is that it really will be her singing, not recordings of Judy. She is determined to do it justice. ‘If she nails the part, she will be a shoo-in for some big awards.’

Fingers crossed Anne, we know you can do it.

If this gets made, I don’t know what I’ll do with myself. I do like Anne, I do, but ANNE IS NOTHING IN COMPARISON TO JUDY. She CERTAINLY CANNOT HANDLE THE SINGING (yes, I know Anne is a good singer, but you will never convince me that she could handle Judy’s style). Guys, I am shaking and crying right now.

Please just bring back Judy Davis. Or an unknown who is small and good at lip synching.
