DAVID BOWIE’s encounter with RIHANNA last night will go down as one of the most memorable face-to-face oddities in recent years.
The China Girl songwriter was introduced to the Rude Boy singer by his wife IMAN at a leukaemia benefit in New York last night.

And hats off to the Thin White Duke - who rarely ventures out these days - for managing to avoid eye contact with the songbird’s semi-exposed assets as she leaned in for the meet and greet.

She was on sizzling form at the charity bash, turning heads in a figure-hugging black gown and a spectacular hairdo.

The social butterfly also bumped into actress EVA MENDES, designer VERA WANG and BEYONCE KNOWLES’ sister SOLANGE.

The Hitch star - who looked stunning in a strapless dress - broke into a joyous grin when Rihanna, standing several inches taller, moved in for a chat.

Despite her obvious fondness for a good night out, Rihanna recently revealed her living room sofa is where she prefers to spend her downtime.

She said: "When I have a day off, I usually just laze around for as long as possible.

"I watch TV in bed, blast music out really loudly, or maybe go shopping.

"But recently when I’ve had time off, I haven’t been shopping at all. I’ve just stayed at home watching TV."

MasterChef’s Matt Preston took out the Worst Dressed TV Star category, which was previously won by A Current Affair’s anchor Tracey Grimshaw.

After Michael (Shane West) learns that Percy(Xander Berkeley) has ordered Divison to kill anyone who could decrypt the black boxes, he sends Nikita (Maggie Q) in to save the last person on the list, a CIA cryptographer named Malcolm (guest star Rich Sommer).

Nikita kidnaps Malcom and takes him to Ryan (guest star Noah Bean) for protection. Meanwhile, Percy turns on Alex (Lyndsy Fonseca).

Richie Sambora is checking himself into rehab for exhaustion and to regain his sobriety, after ending his tour with Bon Jovi.

The 52-year-old guitar player and his group are scheduled to play tour dates this month in the U.S., before heading to tour in Europe through June.

Sambora’s bandmates said in a statement: “Our support for Richie is absolute. He is, and will remain, a member of Bon Jovi. Although he will be absent from upcoming shows for the time being, we very much look forward to his healthy return. In the meantime, we will keep our commitment to our fans and continue our tour.”

Sambora entered treatment for alcoholism at ULCA Medical Center in 2007, two months after his nine-year marriage to Heather Locklear ended, and the passing of his father due to lung cancer.

Coincidentally, Richie’s decision to seek treatment comes on the heels of his probation ending last week.
Richie and Locklear have a daughter Ava, 13, with whom they split custody.

Can another diva-infused remix rush up the Billboard Hot 100 next week? That’s what fans of Britney Spears are probably hoping.

On Monday (Apr. 25), Spears released the "Femme Fatale" remix of "Till the World Ends" (featuring Nicki Minaj and Ke$ha) to digital retailers — just two weeks after the singer made headlines by guest-starring on the so-called "Rih-mix" of Rihanna’s "S&M." The latter soared to No. 1 upon its release, giving RiRi her 10th No. 1 and Spears her fifth.

Now, the new remix of "Till the World Ends" could prompt a jump into the top five of the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart next week. We’ll know for sure when news of the new Hot 100 is revealed on May 4.

Industry prognosticators suggest that all versions of "Till" (the original, the new "Femme" remix and its other assorted dance mixes) may sell around 210,000 or more by week’s end on Sunday, May 1. That would secure its best sales frame yet, trumping the 158,000 it moved after its first full week on sale in March. Last week, the song shifted 122,000 downloads.

If the song earns as much radio airplay as it did this past week (around 72 million in audience), the song’s combined point total could place it around Nos. 3-5 on the Hot 100 next week.

A No. 2 rank is conceivable — as is of course, a long-shot chance at No. 1 — but "Till the World Ends" faces stiff competition in the form of the current No. 1, Katy Perry’s "E.T." (Not to mention the growing popularity of Adele’s "Rolling in the Deep" and the Black Eyed Peas’ "Just Can’t Get Enough" — which stand at Nos. 2 and 3, respectively, this week.)

If Spears’ "Till the World Ends" reaches the top five, it will give her back-to-back studio albums with a pair of top five singles. Her 2008 "Circus" set spawned a No. 1 with "Womanizer" and a No. 3 hit with its title track. And her latest, "Femme Fatale," already saw its lead offering, "Hold It Against Me," debut at No. 1.

"Till the World Ends" has thus far peaked at No. 8 on the Hot 100. This week is declines 9-11, though with an overall gain in points.

She’s one of Tinseltown’s tiniest starlets, and now Hayden Panettiere has finally answered the question she gets asked the most, “how it works” with her super-tall boyfriend Wladimir Klitschko.

The 5 foot tall 21-year-old phoned in to “On Air with Ryan Seacrest” earlier today (April 28) to reveal how she deals with questions surrounding the deed with her 6′6″ significant other, explaining, “It’s people who I know and they’re usually relatively prude and conservative and they get this flustered look on their face like, ‘I have to ask, how does it work?’ [and I'm like] it just works!”

Hayden furthered her dating details, telling, “He’s 35,” and “he also grew up in like the Soviet Union so yeah I’ll say, ‘oh have you seen the ‘Wizard of Oz’ and he’s like, ‘What? What’s the ‘Wizard of Oz,’ I don’t know what that is.”

As far as the age difference between her and her boxer beau, Panettiere told, “It was never a distinct choice in my head, but my best relationships have been with men much older than me. I have a lot more in common with them and in conversation with them.”
