From wikipedia (for those who don’t know her): Charmaine Clarice Relucio Pempengco (born May 10, 1992), better known as Charice is an international Filipina singer who rose to popularity through YouTube. She has appeared on Oprah and Ellen and has performed numerous times at prominent events in the US.

She is reportedly recording her U.S. debut album in the first quarter of 2009. It will be released under Warner Bros. Records and will be produced by her mentor, David Foster.

Even if Fingerprint (supposedly her first single) sort of sucks and really doesn’t showcase her voice and as of right now, she’s impresses only when she’s singing covers, this kind of performance is what makes me love her =) The last vid is pretty much amazing.

Disregarding the fact that her outfit was incredibly unflattering that night…

Oh and she’ll also have a small part in the next Alvin and the Chipmunks movie (out in Dec in the US) as a contestant in some high school singing contest or something Idk Source
