Jimmy Fallon made his late night talk show host debut Monday, interviewing Robert DeNiro and Justin Timberlake (who impersonated John Mayer). Legend Van Morrison was his musical guest.

The Associated Press noted his set was “classy” and “comfy” and that his house band, the Roots, was “super-cool.” But the AP noted his opening monologue was “brisk, if forgettable.”
