Buzznet got the chance to sit down and do a video interview with Demi Lovato at the Bamboozle Tour this past weekend.
The Disney star who is set to embark on a 60+ city U.S. tour shortly told us that if she could go on tour with any 1 girl group it would be the Australian sister duo, The Veronicas.
Demi says, “I love those girls and they are so talented and I would want to go on tour with them.”
If Demi wasn’t headed out on the road this summer, she’d revealed that she’d be checking out concerts herself including the Paramore/No Doubt Tour.
She also says “I’d visit the Jonas Brothers [on tour]. They’ve got both Jordin Sparks and Honor Society opening for them so that will be cool. And I wish I could go see Michael Jackson in London.”
When asked how she’s preparing for her upcoming, Demi revealed that she doesn’t work out. “I’m not really doing anything . I stay in pretty good shape. I don’t work out. I’ve been practicing a lot with my voice and taking voice lessons.”
When asked about John Mayer, Demi’s face lit up. She says “He inspired a lot of the album just because he’s an incredible musician.” When asked if there are any songs of his that she would like to perform with him, she responds matter-of-factly, “EVERY SINGLE ONE! Oh my gosh. I think he’s one of the greatest musicians ever! Definitely of our time, but ever!”
The star also talks about her relationship writing music with The Academy Is front man William Beckett. “I met him at a concert because I am a huge fan of his. He’s incredible! We kinda stayed in touch and talked about writing music and it just kind of happened and it was awesome! We wrote a song together that was pretty emotional for me to write. Its about my past, and, you know, things you go through when you’re growing up. The title is “For the Love of a Daughter.”
On her new album, “I’m enjoying life right now so a lot of my music is a lot more uplifting. I mean there is your occasional 1 or 2 songs about a jerk, but…”
