Karin Dreijer Andersson of the Knife will bring her solo project Fever Ray to North America for the first time this fall, with a brief string of dates in September and October.

This is very good news. When the Knife debuted their live show on our shores in 2006, it was breathtaking, a unique amalgamation of performance art, rave, and horror movie. Andreas Nilsson, the Swedish artist behind the design of the Knife’s live show (as well as Fever Ray’s “If I Had a Heart” video), has also designed the Fever Ray live show. It features Dreijer Andersson fronting a four-piece live band and a stage full of lamps. Reviews of overseas performances, as well as this teaser video, make it seem just as spookily great as the Knife’s show.

Fever Ray plays a bunch of European, British, and Scandinavian shows this spring and summer as well. Her full itinerary is below.
