Ross, 48, has been voted the worst dressed man of 2009 by GQ magazine and been criticised by contributors. Columnist Tony Parsons writes: "The jokes aren’t funny anymore and neither are the suits. His clothes make you cry."
Comedian Russell Brand, involved with Ross in making obscene phone calls to actor Andrew Sachs, is just behind in the rankings. Director David Furnish said Brand looked loathsome, like "a drag queen on acid".
Gordon Brown is third worst with author Irvine Welsh saying: "He seems like he’s dressed by his mother rather than his wife."
Home Secretary Jacqui Smith is also included in the men’s category. GQ’s Jonathan Heaf said Ms Smith’s style screams "Olympic official".
