We all know Britney’s dad Jamie seems hungry to have everyone under his control, but we think his latest power stuggle is totally out of control. One of the most popular, pro-Britney fansites around, BreatheHeavy.com is now being forced to shut down, due to a legal notice from Jamie Spears’ lawyers.

Jordan Miller, the webmaster for BreatheHeavy writes on his website:

I received a legal notice from Jamie Spears’ lawyers pressuring me to close BreatheHeavy.com by 3:00 p.m. PST today, March 27, 2009, or face an injunction, claiming they will pursue legal action by Jamie Spears, who, as a conservator, is legally allowed to act as Britney and sue using her money and lawyers.

Jordan has made it clear that he doesn’t support the conservatorship, and he notes that when he “did not conform to the requests and demands Britney’s management and father, Jamie Spears, recently put upon BreatheHeavy to stay quiet, they in turn became angry and malicious…” At one point, Jamie even snarled at Jordan via telephone, “I will destroy your ass!” So professional!

The lawyers claim that BreatheHeavy is not in compliance of copyright infringement laws, that it violates Britney’s rights of publicity and privacy, and that the site is using Britney’s trademarked name and image with the intention of “financial gain.” Jordan has since taken down all images of the pop singer, and the few remaining shots of Britney on his site are blurred and pixeled out.

It’s pretty hard to believe that Britney would want to shut down her fan sites, but since Jamie’s in charge of her affairs, it doesn’t appear as though she has much say in the matter. The only question is…Jamie realizes he’s hurting her career by doing this, right?
