The ‘Just Dance’ star - who is famous for her flesh-flashing outfits - favours labels which mirror her unconventional lifestyle.

She said: “I appreciate any fashion label that is emblematic of a lifestyle. When I see Versace ads, it’s a whole way of living. Karl Lagerfeld? Brilliant.”

The 22-year-old singer described her unique style as “a commentary on what it means to be a lady”, adding she developed her signature look by absorbing her mother’s love of fashion while she was growing up.

Lady GaGa said: “My mother was always very well kept and beautiful. She wore Ferragamo, Valentino, Paloma Picasso. Her taste is absolutely classic Italian.”

The US singer plans to make her unconventional style accessible to young women around the world, with the potential release of her own range of clothes.

She said: “I can’t wait to do my own line. It’s definitely something I want to do in the next year as I do have my own style.”

Her close friend singer and producer Akon already has his own label - called Konvict Clothing - and has been very encouraging of GaGa’s fashion ambition.

He said: “People dissed her because of the way she dresses, but she’s hot. Everyone wants to look like her. She’ll walk around in London in her underwear and everyone will catch on.”
