Dropping the latest celebrity news
One hour into the show, Stryker said that WestwoodOne, the company that produces LoveLine (and other radio programs), has been hit by a loss of income as companies cut back advertising due to the recession. He said that he and Dr. Drew were informed about the situation by WestwoodOne execs, and that WestwoodOne would no longer be paying Stryker. The company gave them six weeks notice in hopes that revenue would improve, but it didn’t, so tonight was Stryker’s last night. He had been sick the last few days, so he decided to take the rest of the night off.
Dr Drew is continuing the show on his own, with the show’s assistant screening calls and playing out-take clips.

I love Stryker! He was why I listened to Love Line…. it is so sad to see him go and so sad to say that i have not listened once since he has been gone…
Stryker was the reason many long time fans stopped listening to the show. Now that he’s gone, I will start listening again, with or without Adam.
