It’s no secret that Chloe and Oliver’s marriage on Smallville is an anomaly.
Firstly, Chloe (Allison Mack) didn’t actually exist in the previous Superman mythology before being created specifically for the once WB, now CW series. Secondly, Oliver Queen (Justin Hartley) married Dinah Lance aka the Black Canary (Alaina Huffman) in the comic mythos. While the fans do love Chlollie, the question remains: Will their marriage survive the series finale of Smallville?
Hartley, who directs this Friday’s new episode, dishes on what’s in store for the Chloe-Oliver-Dinah debacle, as well as Zod’s return and the ominous Omega symbol on the Green Arrow’s skull.
Oliver has been marked with the Omega symbol of darkness. What will we see for him as the series comes to a close?
Hartley: At the end of "Dominion," Oliver is faced with a cold reality that he’s not going to be able to get rid of this infection just by willing it away. He has to figure out a whole other path, something he’s never done before. He goes on this journey to try to get rid of this thing.
Oliver and Chloe are going to be the best man and woman at Lois and Clark’s wedding. What’s in store for them?
Hartley: A lot of hell breaks loose, actually. Oliver has the Omega and turns into a totally different, disgusting person. Chloe has to figure out a way to stand by him. She does. In the end, it’s interesting because Oliver has to go do his thing, and Chloe has to go do her thing, so there’s a really sweet, tender moment in the finale that I think you’ll like. The way it’s all wrapped up is actually really beautiful. It leaves you with a warm heart.
Will the differences from the Smallville and Superman mythos be addressed since Chloe didn’t previously exist outside of Smallville and Oliver actually married Black Canary?
Hartley: It sort of is. In a very warm, sweet way it is addressed because the images that you’re going to see are things that could go on while the mythos of the comics is happening, with him and Black Canary. What you see on your screen in the finale, you could very well go, "Oh, I see, that would work then. That would coincide." It’s really interesting and a really smart story.
What can you tell us about the return of Zod (Callum Blue) in the episode you’re directing?
Hartley: He’s not the happiest of guys. He feels like he was betrayed by his brother, someone from his own planet. He has every right to act the way he’s acting. I wanted him a little more sexually charged in this episode and sort of funny, getting a kick out of things. I wanted to empower him a bit more. Callum did a great job of pulling this off. Zod is not happy with Clark [Tom Welling] and he puts Clark in a very compromising position, something that he really can’t get out of, so he’s got no choice but to act. We see some pretty nasty things. It’s a pretty bloody episode as far as Smallville goes.
How was it like stepping on the other side of the camera and bossing around your co-stars?
Justin Hartley: (Laughs.) I was actually looking forward to telling everyone what to do. Then I quickly realized, and of course I’m kidding, but how confident everyone is. The thing about working with these guys, from Erica Durance to Cassidy Freeman and Callum Blue and Tom Welling, you don’t have to tell them what to do, they know what to do. The worst thing to do as a director of a show that’s been on for 10 years is to try to tell everyone what their job is. That’s ridiculous. To be honest with you, they all helped me as much as I helped them. Team Smallville directed this thing. It’s fun Phantom Zone gladiator stuff!
Do you have a favorite scene from this episode?
Hartley: All the ones I’m in. (Laughs.) I put the lens at a perfect spot for me. I look so good in this episode. Wait till you see me. You won’t even recognize me. I’m kidding. The first scene I ever shot was between Cassidy and Erica. They were both so great, so ready and so perfect. The last scene that I shot was in the Phantom Zone and that was terrific.
How do you feel now that the series has come to an end for you guys?
Hartley: I feel really great. I live in Los Angeles, so I’m glad to be back here with my family. I feel really proud of the work I did on the show and I’m grateful; more grateful than proud, actually. I’m happy to be done just because I feel like I did a really good job while I was there and I gave everything I could, and I’m definitely ready for the next thing, whatever that may be.

It seems Ryan Gosling’s name is off the table for the man who will dawn the mask and say the words “heyo Silver!” in Gore Verbinski’s adaptation of the classic series the Lone Ranger from Disney and Jerry Bruckheimer. Two fabulous new names have cropped up in Gosling’s place with Armie Hammer and Timothy Olyphant now rumored for the lead role in the film.
The only casting that remains true is Johnny Depp’s casting as Tonto, the sharp witted Indian guide that assists the Lone Ranger in his work. His trade mark line is “Kemo Sabe,” as it is what he called the Lone Ranger.
Gore Verbinski is directing Lone Ranger from a screenplay by Justin Haythe. Jerry Bruckheimer will produce. No production schedule was given for Lone Ranger.

The first casualty of VH1’s upcoming real ity series “Mob Wives” is already in the books.
It’s the relationship between Jenn Graziano, the creator of the series that starts Sunday night, and her father, Anthony Graziano, the alleged consigliere of the Bonanno crime family who is serving time for racketeering in a federal prison in North Carolina.
Ever since she decided to do the series, her father has stopped speaking to her — and her sister, Reneé, who is one of the four “wives” on the show. “He absolutely has not given his blessing. He’s not very happy at all, to be honest,” says Graziano. “We tried to explain to him that . . . we’re not giving away any secrets,” she says. “But he’s not even speaking to us.”
If you didn’t know it by now, the Mafia’s days as a “secret society” are over. There are no more secrets to give away. Except maybe one: the glitz and glamour of mob life portrayed in movies and TV shows like “Goodfellas” and “The Sopranos” isn’t remotely close to the harsh reality faced by the women left behind when their significant others are serving time.
And that’s the point Graziano hopes to make in “Mob Wives,” in which Graziano’s cameras follow her older sister, Renee, and three friends — including Karen Gravano, daughter of infamous mob turncoat “Sammy the Bull” — as they try keep it together on Staten Island with their main support systems behind bars. “It’s not all fancy clothes and cars,” says Graziano. “These are women who are now single moms trying to make it on their own.”
Though Charlie Sheen is said to be close to begging, Chuck Lorre is adamant that the troubled actor won’t be back on “Two and-a-half Men”; in fact, The Hollywood Reporter suggests today that Lorre has approached “Men” co-star Jon Cryer with his reboot idea. As one would expect, the series would go on with Cryer’s character and a new yet-to-be cast character.
Here’s what the trade reported earlier :
Neither CBS nor Warner Bros. has said whether “Men” will return for an ninth season. But industry speculation is that the show will almost certainly return. And talent representatives say that Warners has quietly begun pursuing an actor to appear in the series next season. Who that actor will be has become Topic A in Hollywood. Speculation has ranged from the plausible to the peculiar, with names from Woody Harrelson to Jeremy Piven to Bob Saget being bandied about. A Warners spokesperson says none of these actors is in contention.
Others have suggested that “Men” might consider a “roommate” scenario, with multiple stars appearing on one or a few episodes to fill the Sheen void.
When exactly “Men” would return is another open question. Two sources say a midseason relaunch is more likely than a fall return. While delaying “Men’s” start would leave a significant revenue and ratings generator off the CBS fall schedule, the network and studio would have more time to retool the series. But unanswered questions about TV’s most-watched comedy could upset ad buyers and upstage CBS’s splashy upfront presentation next month.
At which point Sheen announces his intention to star in a new series for cable.
This is an absolute outrage, there is no show without Charlie!
Diggy Simmons and Bangladesh hit the studio to record music.
omg diggy is just so sexy.

The first full trailer for the new Transformers flick has arrived, and it’s intense!
Looks like director Michael Bay opted to save any one-liners, which lighten up the action flicks, for the theater. This trailer is action sequences and hotness only — the hotness being Shia LaBeouf, Josh Duhamel, Patrick Dempsey, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Tyrese Gibson.
We’ll be interested to see how the pic explains the departure of Megan Fox’s character (Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is Shia LaBeouf’s new love interest.) Maybe she met an untimely robot death?
But, the flick is sure to have laughs because some hilarious comedians have joined this cast that weren’t in the first two; see who after the jump!
New to the Transformers series are some awesome comedians: John Malkovich, The Hangover’s Ken Jeong and Frances McDormand.
Get ready for a wild ride!
Danny Trejo, Robert Englund, Michael Rooker, Sarah Michelle Gellar, and George Romero will all be making appearances in the game with the first four being the main “survivors” that we’ll control.
Treyarch recently showed off what they’ve been working on with their new zombies portion of the Call of Duty: Black Ops Escalation Map Pack. The zombies mode in the game titled “Call of the Dead” will be taking alot of what Treyarch has built over the years and seems to be parlaying it into a bigger and more robust experience than ever before. This time around it seems that our favorite heroes of games past will be gone with Dempsey, Takeo, Richtofen, and Nicholai taking a back seat to a new cast of characters. Normally fans would be extremely upset about this type of drastic change to the wildly popular game mode in the worlds most popular game, but the newcomers are a cast of all-stars.

The new cast is an iconic ensemble of characters from Hollywood’s most prolific horror stories of all time. Danny Trejo, Robert Englund, Michael Rooker, Sarah Michelle Gellar, and George Romero will all be making appearances in the game with the first four being the main “survivors” that we’ll control. The four will be fighting for their lives amidst an army of bloodthirsty Russian zombies. From what we’ve seen so far in the trailer that was released just days ago, there are quite a few new things to be excited about in the game.

As the game has grown from its roots in Call of Duty: World At War game back in 2008, so have the maps in terms of size and scope. This latest map, “Call of the Dead”, looks to be one of the biggest yet. With multiple areas to explore and fight back the zombie horde, you’ll be defending a deserted lighthouse, a frozen and also deserted ocean liner where zombies will rise from the icy depths with scuba gear on. There’s even a zip line in the new game mode that will allow you to move between areas more quickly and is a throwback to the First Strike Map Pack’s Kowloon. You’ll also find in the trailer a hydraulic lift of some sort which propel players in the air between segments of the map.

Apparently SMG is the first female Black Ops character.
If they made this into a movie, I’d watch.
