Dropping the latest celebrity news
Heidi has been picked y’all.
E! Online has the following article:
New Moon has its Heidi.
I can exclusively reveal that Canadian supermodel Noot Seear has won the coveted role of the beautiful human bait in the Twilight sequel.
Heidi is described in Stephenie Meyer’s novel as a “fisher” who brings humans to the Volturi vampires to eat. She has “exceptional, unforgettable” beauty, which includes stunning legs, long hair and violet eyes.
So who is this Noot Seear?
The 25-year-old dark blond stunner hails from Vancouver, Canada. (Yup, that’s where director Chris Weitz just started shooting New Moon). She’s 5 feet 9 inches tall and has blue eyes, according to her agency, One Model Management. Her measurements? 34-24-34.
She began modeling when she was about 13 years old and moved to New York City “for more exposure,” New York magazine has reported.
Since then Seear has appeared in spreads in Elle, Cosmopolitan and Vanity Fair. Her ad campaigns have included Giorgio Armani, Calvin Klein’s CK One fragrance, Vera Wang Bridal and Pantene Pro-V.
She’s also walked several catwalks for designers like Ralph Lauren, Balenciaga, Lanvin and Alexander Wang.Seear’s manager could not confirm the casting, but tells me, “She has auditioned and is in consideration with the studio for the role.”
The Twilight soundtrack hops back to the third spot of the charts
EW reports that the Twilight soundtrack is back on the top spots of the charts, despite almost disappearing. Now how did that happen?
First, a special edition of the soundtrack came out, with bonus goodies including a live clip of that one Iron & Wine song, the music video for Paramore’s “Decode,” an interview with Paramore singer Hayley Williams, and, er, a “Beyond the Video” clip for Paramore’s “Decode.” Oh, and Twilight the movie came out on DVD over the weekend. Those two factors combined were enough to persuade 74,000 fans to buy the soundtrack for the first, second, or Nth time, according to Nielsen SoundScan, beating out everyone else last week but Kelly Clarkson (at No. 1 with 90,000) and U2 (at No. 2).
Robert HAS not been injured on the set of New Moon
Despite several vicious reports, Rob was not injured on the set of New Moon. You can breathe now.
Radar Online reports:
Radaronline.com has learned that reports of an injury involving British hunk, Robert Pattinson, are a complete sham.
The actor has been in Vancouver shooting New Moon, the second installment of the Twilight series, when he apparently suffered a head injury.
Online reports said that during filming, a strong wind suddenly blew a metal advertising sign that slammed Pattinson’s head, knocking him flat and causing the cast and crew to call for an ambulance.
“This story is completely false,” Pattinson’s rep confirms, “Robert has not been injured in any way and no version of the story ever occurred.”
No anime version of Twilight…yet?
Catherine Hardwicke spoke to MTV News Blog about the rumor of an anime version of Twilight.
“I haven’t heard any plans yet,” Catherine Hardwicke remarked, surprised when I told her at the launch of her “Twilight Director’s Notebook: The Story of How We Made the Movie” that some Twilighters think she let the cat out of the bag.
At one point in the DVD commentary, Pattinson commented: “I look Asian in this scene. I do, I look like an anime character.” Hearing that, Hardwicke responded: “Hey, I think there’s going to be an anime version of this in Japan. So you will be an anime character.”
Clearing up the record, Hardwicke told us that it was just an off-the-cuff comment and that nothing is planned.
At the risk of bringing back the rumor, however, the director did joke that she might be willing to reverse her decision to stop making “Twilight” movies if somebody was willing to let her make an anime film. “I think that’s a cool idea, maybe,” she grinned. “Maybe we can do that. That would be so fun; I’d love to direct that.”“Let’s stir it up,” Hardwicke urged the fans who’ve eagerly latched on to the rumor. “We’ll find some cool way to do it, if we do it.”
The Twilight Saga: New Moon opens in theaters on November 20th.
More of Victoria in New Moon
Shock till you drop has a new interview with Rachelle Lafevre and she told them Victoria will be more present in New Moon.
I ran into her last night at the Hollywood premiere of Adam Mason’s Blood River and pressed her for some details.
“The books are all from Bella’s point of view,” she told me. “So there are things in New Moon that get talked about and are referred to, but don’t get described. Victoria spends all of New Moon trying to get to Bella. As a result, she fights werewolves and has encounters. They’ve basically tried to show more for the film. We want to keep the love triangle going, but we’ve kept more of the dark action, vampire-y stuff to keep those fans happy.”
Lefevre added she’ll be heading up to Vancouver in mid-April and is “stoked to work with [director] Chris [Weitz]. It’s been different with him because he has tremendous respect for the fact that something has come before. He now has to pay heed to the books and what Catherine [Hardwicke] did so hard to cultivate. He’s done an amazing job of incorporating ideas almost seamlessly into what is what the fans are expecting and love.”
Catherine Hardwicke guest DJs and plays Rob’s music
According to Pop EW Catherine Hardwicke guest Djed at a public Santa Monica radio station and she played one of Rob’s songs along with other tracks that inspired her.1. Radiohead’s “15 Step”: When she heard the band open a show with it, she suddenly saw how Twilight would end (she used it over the end credits).
1. Radiohead’s “15 Step”: When she heard the band open a show with it, she suddenly saw how Twilight would end (she used it over the end credits).
2. Robert Pattinson’s “Let Me Sign:” Also used in the film, over Bella’s near-death scene. “After we made the whole morphing crazy dream sequence we took that on my laptop back into another little studio in the valley, and then Rob literally sang and just played to the image on the screen,” she said. “And I just watched Rob sing this song, maybe ten different times. Every time it sounded like something almost completely different, because it just came out of him, this kind of raw feeling and in a way, that was my favorite day that I’ve had in the last two years, just being there in the studio, and watching music just come out of somebody’s body.” Is it just me and anyone who’s listened to the Twilight DVD commentary, or is Hardwicke a little too into Robert Pattinson? I know. Kettle, you’re black.
3. Cold War Kids’ “On the Night My Love Broke Through”: This song, which Hardwicke said “seared right into my skin and kind of freaked me out when I heard it,” is written into the new screenplay she’s working on.
4. Sparklehorse’s “Wish You Were Here”: She used the Pink Floyd cover in her 2005 film Lords of Dogtown, which starred the late Heath Ledger. “I thought it was just so powerful and beautiful, and you know, of course, well, ‘Wish You Were Here,’ it’s kind of for Heath.”
5. Rod Stewart’s “Maggie May”: Her most interesting story. It was used in the documentary her film was based on, Dogtown and Z-Boys (so good), so even though she loved the song, she picked another tune for Ledger to sing along to in the movie’s final scene. “I talked to Heath the day before, and I said ‘You’re cool, with the other song, it’s all good?’ And he goes, ‘Yeah, it’s all good.’ And then one minute before shooting, Heath said, ‘Catherine, I gotta sing ‘Maggie May,’ I’m not doing the other song.’” She said the scene, of him shaping a surfboard, is one of her all-time favorites Heath scenes because it feels more like him than a character. “Heath had that ability to just absorb that movement and physicality. He could do everything in his own cool way.” Watch the scene below.
